LEJOG - Day 4: Sampford Peverell to Cheddar
Yes, that Cheddar. The home of cheddar cheese that is NOT orange!
Miles so far: 207
A shorter day today... Only 46 miles. So got in early enough to go find a place for cream tea. I have to google a recipe for clotted cream!
Time to tell you all about our fellow riders. Ian and Randy, two riding pals from Vancouver BC. Kate from Australia. Liz and Alan from New Zealand. Peter from Scotland. The rest of the gang from England... Jan, Elaine, Kevin, Alan, Jo, Nancy, and Helen. 15 of us. And our two guides Rob and Graham. All of us are pretty much at the same level of riding.
Following our route maps has been challenging, to say the least. Here's a peak at one...
I now despise these three words - "road climbs steeply".
